7.2.6 Divestment policy

update date : 2021-11-12

Divestment policy
Have a policy on divesting investments from carbon-intensive energy industries notably coal and oil

To correspond with the environmental protection and safety and health policies of both the government and our university, we purchase environmental appliances or equipment with environmental labels for green consumption. The green purchase amount was about NT$18 million in 2020. We continuously select low pollution, energy-saving, and recyclable green products and reduce the usage of carbon-intensive energy products; we received the “green consumption and outstanding environmental volunteer certification” in 2020 (Evidence 1). Meanwhile, we have installed “solar power systems” on the roofs of several selected buildings, with an investment amount of about NT$24 million to increase the campus’s green energy ratio (Evidence 2). We have also implemented “paper-free meetings” which have saved 2,981,053 A4 paper printing from November 2013 to September 2021 (Evidence 3).
