All new constructions at the university are limited to the brownfield site. A portion of the university's 16-hectare campus, originally donated by Nan Ya Plastics Corporation, serves as a brownfield site. Some of this space has been repurposed for the Innovation Building, and the remaining brownfield site is planned for the establishment of the Ming-Chi Innovation Science and Technology Park. This area will serve as the venue for the university's industry-academia research projects and the Industry-Academia Joint Research Center. Currently, plans are underway for the construction of a new research building within this designated area.
