12.2.7 Disposable policy: extensions to services(2023)

update date : 2024-11-11

MCUT has introduced an ISO 14001 management system and formulated the “Environmental Protection and Safety and Health Policy” to monitor environmental impact and promote the sustainable development policy. All outsourcing contractors of the university are approved by the governmental authorities, ensuring that the process of waste (including food waste) disposal meets the requirements of the “Waste Disposal Act” and the university’s environmental protection policy. After contract awarding, a contractor is required to sign the Construction Safety Notification, and record the environmental and potential hazards of the construction site and the safety and health measures that should be adopted to ensure that the contractors fully understand and follow the relevant specifications. Before construction, the contractor must complete safety and health education in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act to ensure that the operations meet the requirements.
