The university's faculty leads students in addressing local issues, such as environmental concerns, labor rights, and water quality testing. Collaborating with the Society of Wilderness, the university implemented the Tamsui River Garbage Rapid Screening Project. The university also worked with the Taiwan International Workers’ Association to provide newspapers for foreign prisoners and migrant workers. In collaboration with the Environmental Protection Department, New Taipei City Government, the water quality was tested monthly in 16 locations in the Xinzhuang, Taishan, and Wugu districts. Faculty members collaborated with NGOs to execute 29 SDG research projects in 2022. Student clubs at the university also partnered with NGOs to organize 24 social service activities in 2022.
