17.4.3 Education for SDGs in the wider community(2022)

update date : 2023-11-07

We organized two environmental education events with the theme “Life on Land.” These events were designed to educate the community with hands-on experiences to highlight the importance of environmental protection. We also collaborated with six community libraries to organize 60 “Multicultural English Storytelling Sharing”. This initiative encouraged interactions between our international students and local children, fostering the exchange of stories from different countries in English. This program aimed to cultivate a worldview that embraces diverse cultures and sustainability. We also conducted Mandarin training courses for migrant workers, enhancing their Mandarin language skills to facilitate better integration into our society. We also organized community art and cultural exhibitions along with local-themed publications to promote and enhance cultural identity within the community, aligning with the goals of reducing inequality and fostering sustainable urban-rural development.
