11.2.6 Record and preserve cultural heritage(2022)
The university collaborates with local government and NGOs to inventory and document local culture and arts. For instance, faculty, students, and residents collectively participate in recording and digitizing the memories of the Taishan Lion Dance Culture Festival. These records are subsequently transformed into promotional materials, souvenirs, short films, photos, etc., to promote local culture. Additionally, the university collaborates with local businesses to organize performances, including orchestral music and drumming, at the local worship center, showcasing and recording local traditional customs and arts. The university has also established a Resource Center for Indigenous Students, to promote indigenous culture and it records all the indigenous cultural displays in the University Archives.
