11.4.2 Promote sustainable commuting(2022)
The university has successfully advocated for the addition of a YouBike Ming Chi University of Technology Station at the entrance of the campus, provided by the New Taipei City Government, serving as a short-distance transportation option. The university has also secured the inclusion of the school's name on the platform signboard of the Airport MRT A6 station, actively updating the information to facilitate long-distance transportation. Internally, initiatives have been launched to introduce IRent and intelligent driving vehicles for use by faculty and students. In alignment with government and university policies for net-zero carbon emissions, efforts are underway to establish electric vehicle charging stations on campus. Additionally, the university promotes free parking for faculty and staff, allowing them to park at least one car and one motorcycle on campus. Various commuting information is regularly updated and announced on the university's website.
