3.3.5 Mental health support for students(2023)
For student’s mental health, (1) MCUT conducts freshmen study adaptation surveys to understand students’ study and learning status, and the results serve as a reference for teachers on Tableau; (2) teachers visit live-in students to provide counseling related to their coursework and emotions, which are recorded on a form; (3) positive thinking education and mental health activities are undertaken, enabling students to have good mental health and positivity;(4) psychiatrists are employed for free consultation, and those in need are referred directly for treatment; 61 people received a consultation service in 2023; (5) “mental health leave” for students who are emotionally unstable and cannot attend classes normally are provided, and (6) psychological counseling, health education, and living subsidies are provided to pregnant students, who are also entitled to less stringent standards for leave of absence, grade evaluation, and terms of study.
