MCUT supports low-carbon economy and technologies, including (1) working with Formosa Smart Energy to develop next-generation lithium-ion battery technology, and moving toward collaboration in the fields of energy conservation, energy storage, new energy sources and recycling and reuse. (2) working with alliance partners to focus on green energy technology and EV industries to promote a zero-emission commercial electric truck industry ecosystem; (3) joining hands with SGS to develop and test the full-vehicle durability, energy consumption testing and other related issues, accelerating the development of EVs in Taiwan; (4) constructing Taiwan’s first “Talent and Technology Cultivation Base for the Energy and Battery Industry,” subsidized by the Ministry of Education, promoting technology innovation and talent cultivation, laying the foundation for the competitive edge of the lithium-ion battery industry.
