MCUT is committed to improving the wages of employees, including (1) increasing salaries by nearly 4%, and adjusting contract workers’ minimum wage from TWD 25,250 to TWD 26,400 in 2023; (2) ensuring the university’s minimum wage is in line with the requirements of the Ministry of Labor and is higher than the average monthly expenditure of TWD 26,226 per person of New Taipei City in 2023 announced by DGBAS; (3) in December 2023, the average wage of MCUT’s faculty and staff was TWD 70,057, 2.7 times that of the average monthly expenditure per person; (4) wages are paid on the 5th every month and those who have been with MCUT for more than one year will be given at least 1.5 bonus month as a year-end bonus; and (5) those who have been with MCUT for more than three months will be given gift vouchers on the three major festivals and birthday; all employees are invited to the end-of-year party at which prizes or gift vouchers will be given out.
