11.4.5 Affordable housing for students(2023)
There are a total of 1,760 beds in the men’s dormitory and 887 beds in the women’s dormitory, sufficient to accommodate all students. Each bed costs TWD 4,000–5,000 per semester, much lower than renting outside the campus which costs TWD 5,000–9,000. The monthly rental cost is about 25% of that outside the university, based on the same size of accommodation. We charge the lowest rent per semester among all universities in the country. In line with the government’s subsidy policy, university accommodation will be free of charge starting from 2024. The school dormitory is equipped with washing machines, dryers, food heating facilities and washlets, as well as lounges and space for hanging out clothes. The school also provides free accommodation for 80% of international students.
