MCUT actively promotes local cultural identity and reshapes the common value of community culture, achieving SDG 11 – Sustainable cities and communities, including (1) executing the Co-op design San Chiao Yung Community Cultural Experiment Plan; (2) holding a drum competition to promote traditional culture; (3) establishing the art gallery and selecting artists-in-residence to enrich campus and community artist atmosphere; (4) promoting academies of classical learning and community creation; and (5) the development of local industry. MCUT hopes to create a sustainable community that is culturally linked.
