7.2.5 Energy wastage identification
Energy wastage identification
Undergo energy reviews to identify areas where energy waste is highest
We have integrated a “power monitoring” (Evidence 1), “campus energy saving system” (e.g., air conditioning variable frequency equipment, dormitory pump heating system, cooling variable frequency system), and an environmental monitoring system (Evidence 2) on campus to identify major energy consumption equipment and power consumption conditions through real-time monitoring. Furthermore, we announce the power consumption status online every month and conduct energy reviews to identify and address the area with the highest energy waste. Professors and students are also educated about the meaning of sustainability and the difficulty in acquiring energy. All newly recruited professors and students are encouraged to develop good power consumption habits through separated orientation programs (Evidence 3).
